Established by working professionals looking to provide home support and respite care in Nova Scotia, Nova Salus Inc. works with agencies, social workers and other invested parties to provide the best care for the people we serve.
We are a client centered agency and practice an open communication approach to client care and well-being. All of our staff are fully screened, experienced care providers. We have developed trusting working relationships with agencies and social workers who have provided years of quality care, programs and safe nurturing practices.
Respite Care
Caregivers who tend to those who are physically challenged, have behavioral or emotional needs, or persons with developmental delays sometimes need a little time off from their round the clock care giving. It helps ward off the burn out that can leave caregivers depressed, stressed out and exhausted. Nova Salus provides respite care for all ages and with all measures of abilities, and we are available anytime – even on an emergency basis.
Nova Salus provides respite care and emergency support services, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Emergency Support Services
Nova Salus provides emergency support care for children, adolescents and adults that are experiencing behavioral, psychological, emotional or developmental issues.
All of our staff are experienced care providers and have developed trusting, individual working relationships with agencies and social workers that have resulted from years of providing quality care, and safe nurturing environments.
Specialized Programming
Short and long term behavioral support with community based programs that make a difference.
Staff at Nova Salus are experienced in developing and implementing programs that address difficult behaviors. Individual needs focused programming are developed in cooperation with social workers, therapists and other practitioners that address aggressive, obsessive and other behaviors, and are delivered to the people we serve using client centered strategies.
We recognize the and needs and abilities of our clients and know a team approach best serves the people we support. That is why we customize our daily programs incorporating community based resources to best suit the people that we serve. Nova Salus staff are committed behavioral support personnel delivering programs 24/7, and we make a difference in the communities where we work.
Adult Protection Order Support
Nova Salus provides 24 hour adult protection order support for persons over the age of eighteen that require continuous live in support. We develop programs and schedules designed to develop self sufficiency, self esteem, and essential employment skills when appropriate.
Assisted Living Support
Nova Salus can also assist persons requiring assisted living support, activities of daily living education, community visits and participation, as well as companionship and mentoring.
Adult protection and assisted living support offered 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
