Nova Salus Inc. – Respite Care Provider
Nova Salus Inc. provides care, respite and emergency support services for children, adolescents and adults that are experiencing behavioral, psychological, emotional or developmental challenges – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We promote inclusivity and engage in culturally sensitive practices in support of our clients.
We work with agencies, social workers and other invested parties to provide the best care for the people we serve. We are a client centered agency and practice an open communication approach to client care and well-being.
All of our staff are fully screened, experienced and educated with proven abilities as care givers. We have developed trusting working relationships with agencies and social workers who have provided years of quality care, programs and safe nurturing practices.
The care we provide is fully insured, and we provide our services from Amherst to Halifax, and can also provide transportation for our clients if required allowing us to serve a wider area.

Our Name
The name Nova Salus has been chosen to reflect our professional care philosophy. Nova, latin for new, reflects our approach as care providers and the development and application of our unique programming. Salus is the Roman goddess of safety and well being, which is the overall goal of this agency and the right of all people.
Our Symbol
The Nova Salus logo is the spiral sun. In many traditions the Sun is seen as the first healer of the people, and it depicts the natural rhythms and movements of life. This symbol is said to embody healing power and helps one return to the natural rhythm and healthy harmony of life.
